Cisco Makes it Bigger

Cisco has recently announced new technology that makes cloud computing more efficient, secure and high performance. The technology was introduced by the company at Cisco Live and goes a long way in enhancing Cisco’s presence in the data center and cloud computing markets.
The product portfolio has been enhanced with three key additions – data center virtualization, network performance and security. It covers the full spectrum of cloud computing infrastructure from the data center to the end user.

The enhancements come in the form of Cisco Wide Area Application Service (WAAS), Cisco IronPort Email Security and Cisco UCS or Unified Computing System and Nexus Switches. The Cisco WAAS optimizes application performance and the UCS and Nexus switches are meant for the data center and cloud.

The email security enhancements help in reducing the risk of malware and spam. The Cisco IronPort Outbreak Filters protects the system against email attacks. Performance of traditional and emerging apps has been improved through the innovations to the WAAS product line.
