As a key product in Alcatel-Lucent's network management portfolio, the Alcatel-Lucent 1300 XMC Cross Domain Management Center (XMC) integrates management of next generation network and IP multimedia subsystem (NGN/IMS) products, including fixed and mobile access; Packet Switching Network; Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA).
Thanks to its portal architecture, it is well suited to support the migration of legacy networks: it acts as an umbrella on top of the installed based, allowing the supervision and navigation to the Alcatel-Lucent 1300 CMC, Alcatel-Lucent 1300 OMC-CS, Alcatel-Lucent 1300 OMC-PS, Alcatel-Lucent 1300 OMC-P, Alcatel-Lucent OMC-CN, and Alcatel-Lucent OMC-H.
The Alcatel-Lucent 1300 XMC also provides the corresponding operations support system (OSS) application programming interfaces (APIs), such as SNMP interfaces for Fault Management, 3GPP R6 interface (Fault Management, Performance Management, Configuration Management).
Element management solutions of additional equipment, such as application servers and media resource functions, are integrated, to provide a common graphical user interface for accessing the entire network. This is a clear advantage compared to a collection of single management applications. Our solutions also reduce operational expenses through the use of common desktop management tools that enable operators to view and control all network management tasks.
Deployed on both HP UX and HP Linux baselines, the 1300 XMC covers all Tier 1, 2, 3 scalability requirements: from single mono-CPU machine up to 8CPU server.
